Terms for the ModbusX website and desktop software. Updated October 22, 2026.

Who provides the product

ModbusX is a Windows desktop application for Modbus TCP and RTU device communication and diagnostics. The product is provided under the ModbusX brand. For product or license questions, visit our support page.

What a license includes

Each license provides access to the desktop features listed on our product page for the purchased term: one month, one year or lifetime. Monthly and annual licenses are prepaid terms and do not renew automatically. A lifetime license has no scheduled expiry. No physical product is shipped.

Licenses are for your own use of the software. Do not resell, share or redistribute activation credentials. A license does not transfer ownership of the software or its intellectual property. Future products and separately priced services are not included unless explicitly offered with your purchase.

Compatibility and responsible use

The desktop build is for Windows 10 / 11 x64 and requires a compatible .NET Desktop Runtime. Check the download with your hardware before purchasing. The screenshots show the desktop interface. The bundled guide is in Chinese; this English website does not imply that all desktop materials have been translated.

Use the software only with devices and systems you are authorized to access. Writing registers can change device operation. Verify addresses and values, retain backups where applicable and follow your site’s operating procedures.

Orders and payments

For orders placed through Paddle, Paddle acts as the authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles the payment transaction, applicable sales taxes and billing support. The Paddle Buyer Terms also apply to those orders.

The checkout shows the selected license, currency, tax and final total before you pay. An order must be successfully paid and verified before a license is issued. Contact support with your order reference if you need help receiving or activating a license.

Refunds and access

Our refund policy explains how to request a refund. A completed refund revokes the corresponding license. Statutory rights and any greater rights under Paddle’s applicable policies take priority.

Service and changes

We aim to provide accurate information and useful software, but device behavior and compatibility depend on your equipment and configuration. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded by law. Changes to these terms will be published here; the terms agreed when you placed an order continue to apply to that purchase.
